A Palestinian man was killed and two others injured today when an explosion rocked a village near the southern West Bank city of Hebron, Palestinian and Israeli sources said.

The blast killed the 34-year-old man at his home in Idhna, west of Hebron, Palestinian officials said. His two brothers were injured and taken to Hebron.

Israeli security sources said the man was a member of the radical Islamic group Hamas and that he was killed by his own bomb.
