Pakistan said today its military ruler Gen Pervez Musharraf would visit India from July 14th to 16th for the first summit talks between the two arch-rivals in more than two years.

Prime Minister Atal Behari Vajpayee invited Mr Musharraf last month to discuss disputes between the two nuclear rivals and break a two-year deadlock in a peace process.

A Foreign Ministry statement said Mr Musharraf, visiting at the invitation of Mr Vajpayee, would also go to the Taj Mahal city of Agra near the capital New Delhi and the northern Indian city of Ajmer, site of a famous Muslim shrine.
