Omagh bomb threat declared a hoax

The security alert in Omagh this evening has been declared a hoax.

The security alert in Omagh this evening has been declared a hoax.

The alert followed a telephone warning that a bomb had been left in the area.

Police put traffic diversions in place and cleared the high street.

A PSNI spokesman said the telephone caller had also warned of a bomb in Spencer Street in Derry City. Nothing was found in a search of the area.
