Ankara - A Turkish court is set to start a fresh prosecution against condemned Kurdish rebel chief Abdullah Ocalan and 100 comrades for forming an armed gang. The charge carries the death penalty.

Ocalan has already been sentenced to death once, by a Turkish court in June, for treason. The appeals court is due to start reviewing the verdict tomorrow. The new case will be tried in an Ankara criminal court, starting on December 15th.
