Gardai have confirmed that shoes and a black mobile phone found in the search for teenager Mr Brendan Rushe did not belong to the boy.

The items were found at around 10 a.m near a bed and breakfast. Today’s search is focused along the shoreline.

If Mr Rushe is still missing, gardaí will review the investigation at the end of the week.

Mr Rushe is five feet and eight inches tall, is of slim build and has dark brown short hair and brown eyes. He wears braces on his teeth.

He was wearing a cream shirt, grey trousers and black shoes, and had a black jumper with him when he went missing on February 18th.
