The world of outer space and Saturn with its magnificent rings beckon those who stay on in the Phoenix Park after a fireworks display tonight to mark the inauguration of Mrs Mary McAleese. Astronomy Ireland, which is promoting the Saturn Watch, predicts it will be spectacular. The watch takes place at 8 p.m. at the Papal Cross car park.

The Moon will be seen passing in front of Saturn early tomorrow at about 1.30 a.m. and may be viewed with a binoculars or telescope, depending on cloud conditions.
