The Government has nominated Mr Daniel O'Keeffe as a High Court Judge.
Mr O'Keeffe qualified as a barrister in 1964 and became a Senior Counsel in 1985.
He has practised both on the Dublin and South Western Circuits and specialised in Company Law and Tax Law.
