New Albanian cabinet formed

Tirana - Mr Pandeli Majko was sworn in yesterday as head of a left-wing coalition government and told his cabinet colleagues they had no time to lose in restoring stability to Albania after three weeks of bloody unrest. Mr Majko (30) and his ministers took the oath of office before President Rexhep Meidani, who told them sacrifices were necessary "to set our country on the path towards European democracy."
