Community groups in nationalist areas of north Belfast have united to object to an Orange parade through their areas this summer.

Representatives of community groups in the Cliftonville, Newington and New Lodge areas said yesterday they feared that if the parade went ahead, it would have long-term effects on the community. They called on the Orange Order to meet them to discuss rerouteing the parade.
