NAOMI CAMPBELL is "perfectly well and fully recovered", a spokesman said after the British super model flew into Paris yesterday after emergency treatment in a Canary Is lands hospital for a reported drugs overdose.
Her agency, Elite, said in a statement from London: "Contrary to press reports, Naomi Campbell was admitted to hospital in Gran Canaria suffering from an allergic reaction to antibiotics."
Mr Xavier Moreau of Elite denied Campbell (27) had been treated for a drugs overdose. "She is not the type to suffer over love," Mr Moreau said.
The agency was flooded with queries over Spanish news reports that the British model had taken an overdose of barbiturates after a fight with her boyfriend, the Spanish flamenco dancer, Joaquin Cortes.
"Ms Campbell is now perfectly well and fully recovered and left hospital late last night for Paris," it said, adding that she was "working now". Elite's Paris office said Campbell took part yesterday in a photo session for a brand of jeans but did not elaborate.
She flew into Le Bourget airport yesterday, the Aero Service charter company said, and was taken to a city centre hotel.
Campbell had been rushed to the Nuestra Senora del Pino hospital in Las Palmas on Sunday afternoon from the Santa Catalina luxury hotel. Hospital staff said she had swallowed a large quantity of barbiturates but was in "a stable condition".
Campbell, along with Canadian Linda Evangelista, Germany's Claudia Schiffer and American Cindy Crawford, is one of the highest paid models in the world.
She has had a string of famous boyfriends, including the US actor, Robert de Niro, and was once engaged to Adam Clayton of U2.
