Gardaí in Dublin have launched a murder investigation following the results of a post mortem on a man's body found in a shed in the city city centre.

Mr Paul Farrell (46), of Buckingham Street, Dublin 1 died from multiple head injuries, a post mortem carried out by the deputy state pathologist, Dr Marie Cassidy, showed this evening.

He was found in the derelict building on Coke Lane, near Smithfield yesterday evening. His body was partially clothed when found. The building is frequented by drug addicts and homeless people.
