A 25-year-old man charged with the murder of a Connemara schoolgirl, Siobhan Hynes, was remanded on continuing bail at Galway District Court yesterday. Mr John McDonagh, a labourer, of Keeraunbeg, Carraroe, Co Galway, faces a second charge in relation to the same incident, which occurred on December 6th, 1998. Defending solicitor Mr Sean O'Carroll said he would have submissions to make in relation to the book of evidence, and he asked for an adjournment until next Monday when the State Solicitor would be present. Judge John Garavan remanded Mr McDonagh on continuing bail until then.
