Harare - Zimbabwean President Robert Mugabe's ruling party yesterday declared the country's defence minister a national hero, two days after his death in a road accident.
Defence Minister Moven Mahachi is to be buried today at Heroes' Acre in Harare - a shrine set aside by the party for heroes of Zimbabwe's national independence struggle. Mahachi (52), was killed in a car crash on Saturday.
