Two men are due in court today charged in connection with separate weapons finds in Northern Ireland over the past two years.

A Bangor man (31) was appearing in Newtownards Magistrates Court on two weapons charges connected to a raid on a house in October 2001.

He was charged by police with possessing a firearm and ammunition with intent to endanger life and possession of explosives in suspicious circumstances.

Elsewhere, a man was appearing in Derry Magistrates Court today facing a number of explosives and gun charges relating to a discovery made in Limavady in October 2002.

He as accused of possessing firearms and ammunition with intent to endanger life, possessing a firearm and ammunition in suspicious circumstances, possessing explosives with intent to endanger life, and possessing explosives in suspicious circumstances.
