Members of the Law Reform Commission

The Law Reform Commission was established under the Law Reform Commission Act 1975

The Law Reform Commission was established under the Law Reform Commission Act 1975. It is an independent body consisting of a president and four other members appointed by the Government. Its members are:

Mr Justice Vivian Lavan, judge of the High Court, president (he has recently replaced Mr Justice Anthony J. Hederman, a former judge of the Supreme Court who was president of the Commission while the report was being prepared but has now retired);

Ms Hilary A. Delany BL, lecturer in law, Trinity College Dublin;

Dr Turlough O'Donnell QC;

Mr Arthur F. Plunkett, barrister at law;

Ms Patricia T. Rickard Clarke, solicitor, partner, McCann Fitzgerald Solicitors.
