Maurice Keane joins board of DCC

Former chief executive of Bank of Ireland Mr Maurice Keane has been co-opted to the board of DCC as a non-executive director.

Former chief executive of Bank of Ireland Mr Maurice Keane has been co-opted to the board of DCC as a non-executive director.

Mr Keane continues to be a member of the court of directors of Bank of Ireland and is chairman of the bank's British subsidiary, Bristol & West.

DCC also announced Mr Tony Barry, a non-executive director, has been appointed chairman of the DCC board remuneration committee and Mr Paddy Gallagher, a non-executive director, has been appointed chairman of the DCC board audit committee.

Mr Barry is also a member of the court of directors of Bank of Ireland and is chairman of Greencore. He was chairman of CRH from 1994 to May 2000, having previously been chief executive.

Mr Gallagher is former head of legal and pensions administration at Guinness Ireland Group and is a former chairman of the Irish Association of Pension Funds.

DCC also announces that, in line with its policy to rotate the position of senior independent director, Mr Keane has taken over the role with effect from today.
