Strasbourg - The long standoff over the return of the Parthenon Marbles from London to Athens has taken a "significant" turn, with other European partners now backing Greece's claim, according to a Greek MEP, Mr Alekos Alavanos.
A majority of MEPs have signed a petition urging the British Museum to return the 2,500-year-old collection from the Parthenon on the Acropolis.
