Argentinian hero Diego Maradona, whose famous Hand of God goal helped knocked England out of the 1986 World Cup, told the Sunday Peoplehe wants to manage a Premiership club.

Maradona, who led Argentina to the World Cup title that same year but ever since has been involved in continued drugs problems, said he liked the passion in the English game.

And he has also admitted that fellow Argentine Juan Sebastian Veron's move to Manchester United has made the English game even more attractive.

"I like English football, always have. It's just that people go on about the World Cup in 1986 and then I'm seen as the real bad boy," Maradona told the newspaper.

"But strange as it may seem, I love watching the English game. Who would ever have thought I would consider moving to England?

"I had one offer from a club but not big enough to meet my ambitions. But if the right offer came from England, I would go there." -AFP
