Man United target keeper Enke - agent

Manchester United have today renewed their interest in German goalkeeper Robert Enke, according to the players agent.

Enke's contract with Benfica ends in June and he would be available on a free transfer under the Bosman ruling.

The 24-year-old was linked with United during the summer but said he did not want to go to Old Trafford as the third choice goalkeeper. The move now carries more appeal in wake of a string of errors by Frenchman Fabien Barthez.

Enke's agent, Norbert Pflippen, told the Sun: "We have spoken to United in the past but he was not very keen on being number three. "Now they are interested again - and they do have a little problem at the moment".
