Man unable to pay compensation

A man was yesterday unable to pay compensation to a taxi driver he had assaulted, Dublin District Court was told.

A man was yesterday unable to pay compensation to a taxi driver he had assaulted, Dublin District Court was told.

John Regan (20) of Lally Road, Ballyfermot, had earlier been convicted of common assault on the taxi driver on August 2nd. The case had been adjourned to yesterday for Regan to pay compensation. He was remanded on continuing bail to September 22nd for the compensation to be paid.
