A 21-year-old man was being treated in hospital in Belfast last night after he was shot in the left leg when three masked men pulled pulled him into an alleyway and made him lie on the ground. He had been walking along Mervue Street, near Queen Street in the north city centre. His assailants made off in the direction of Hogarth Street.
