A post mortem to be carried out this afternoon on the body of a man, believed to be in his 40s, which was discovered in a house in west Dublin last night.

The state pathologist Dr John Harbison is to perform the post mortem.

Garda technical experts were called to the scene as a precautionary measure, a spokesman said, but the man's death is not being treated as suspicious.

His body was found by a family member at a house in Cleggan Road, in Ballyfermot.
