A 51-year-old man has appeared at Galway District Court this evening charged in relation to a stand-off incident with gardaí in Co Galway this morning.
Mr Ian Weston of Carrowmannagh, Oughterard, was remanded in custody after being charged with the false imprisonment of this wife with the possession of an airgun for the purpose of resisting arrest.
Mr Weston will appear at Galway District Court again on Monday.
