A man is recovering in hospital after being stabbed in the neck during a fight in a laneway in Limerick city centre.

A man is recovering in hospital after being stabbed in the neck during a fight in a laneway in Limerick city centre.

The man was attacked during an altercation involving a group of people in a laneway off Parnell Street at about 3.30pm.

The injured man was taken to the Mid Western Regional Hospital. Garda sources last night said the 33-year-old man’s condition had improved and that he was now stable.
