A plumber charged with having an assault rifle and ammunition in Dublin and with membership of the INLA was further remanded in custody today.

Denis Dwyer (22) of Drumcarra Avenue, Jobstown, Tallaght, is charged with the unlawful possession of a Kalashnikov-style assault rifle and 21 rounds of ammunition at Camden Street on November 22nd.

He is also charged with membership of an unlawful organisation styling itself the Irish National Liberation Army, otherwise the INLA, on the same date.

The Special Criminal Court today remanded Mr Dwyer in custody until December 6th.
