Gardaí this afternoon named a man who was killed by a two-car collision near Claremorris in Co Mayo yesterday as Mr Michael Kilgallon.
Mr Kilgallon (58) of Kilmaine, Co Mayo, was involved in a crash at Seefinn, Scardaun, near Claremorris, at about 4.30 p.m yesterday. Two vehicles were involved.
Mr Kilgallon received fatal injuries and died at the scene. His body was removed to Castlebar General Hospital. A passenger in the same car suffered injuries.
The male driver of the other car also sustained injuries. Both men were taken to Castlebar Hospital.
