A man in his 70s has died after his car left the road and went into a ditch at Lagganstown Lower, on a side road off the New Inn Golden Road in Co Tipperary.
The incident happened at about 3.25pm this afternoon. The man was the sole occupant of the car and was pronounced dead at the scene.
Forensic collision investigators are in attendance, the road is closed and traffic diversions are in place.
