Mr Danny McNamee, who was convicted of explosives charges in connection with the IRA Hyde Park bombing in London in 1982, has been released from the Maze Prison. He had served 12 years of a 25-year sentence.
A Court of Appeal hearing on Mr McNamee's conviction is due to begin next week.
