A kitchen worker who stabbed his employer eight times following a row over his Christmas bonus has been jailed for three years by Judge Patrick McCartan at Dublin Circuit Criminal Court.

Mr Ken Lam, who runs a Chinese take-away on the Ballyfermot Road, was in hospital following the attack on December 26th, 1999, in which he was beaten and stabbed by two employees.

Tuan Hoang Luong (28), from Rathminton Drive, Johnstown, Tallaght, was given a three-year sentence.

His co-accused, Tuan Le Cong (38), from Kilcronan Court, Clondalkin, was jailed for one year.
