A Dublin man was yesterday jailed for five years for the manslaughter of a man he kicked to death during a fight in 1997

A Dublin man was yesterday jailed for five years for the manslaughter of a man he kicked to death during a fight in 1997. Mr Justice Smith at the Central Criminal Court sentenced Derek Wade (19) of Church Avenue South, Rialto, to seven years imprisonment for the manslaughter of Mr William Cahill (28) at Mary Aikenhead House, James's Street, Dublin, in 1997. He suspended the final two years on condition that Wade attend an intensive probation programme on release.
