Man injured in Dublin shooting

A man was injured last night when a shot was fired through the door of his house in Clondalkin in Dublin.

A man was injured last night when a shot was fired through the door of his house in Clondalkin in Dublin.

The incident happened at around 9.15pm at a house in Woodford Downs in Clondalkin. The victim's partner and 15-month-old baby were in the kitchen of the house at the time but escaped unharmed.

The man was taken to Tallaght Hospital with minor injuries.

Gardai believe the attacker was on his own and left the scene on foot. The scene was been sealed off for forensic examination by Garda technical experts.
