A 27-year-old man is in a sserious condition in hospital today following an overnight assault on Dublin's O'Connell St.
Gardaí at Store Street are appealing for witnesses to what they call "a serious assault" which happened at 3.15am.
"A 27 year old man was seriously injured and remains in a critical condition," a Garda spokeswoman said.
The assailant was in the company of two other men, and is described as 6ft tall of strong build and skin-tight hair.
He was wearing dark jeans with a horizontally striped Tee shirt.
