A middle-aged man was taken to hospital this morning suffering from serious head injuries following an assault in Navan, Co Meath. The incident took place at 1.45 a.m. at Cannon Court.
The man’s condition is being described by hospital authorities as stable but critical. A young man has been arrested and is being held under section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act.
