A man was in a critical condition today after being assaulted in Bangor, Co Down.
Police said the victim, in his mid-twenties, was taken to hospital following the attack in the seaside town's main street. Another man also needed treatment but was less seriously hurt.
They were found lying in the street last night by a taxi driver who raised the alarm.
Police said four men had been arrested.
