A 35-year-old man is has appeared before a Galway court in connection with the disappearance of a Latvian man who went missing more than two weeks ago.

Latvian Sergejs Krauze, with an address at Dudley Heights in Glenamaddy, was charged  withholding information.

Gardaí investigating the disappearance of 30-year-old Juris Buls found a body off the Glenamaddy to Creggs Road yesterday in the townsland of Gortnadeeve East.

The discovery was made in a wooded area at approximately 6.20pm. The location was secured by gardaí and garda technical experts were called to the scene.

Gardaí said on Friday they were “extremely concerned” about the safety of 30-year-old Juris Buls.

Mr Buls has not been seen at his house at Ballymore Road in Glenamaddy since July 7th when he left for work at Titan Plastics in Tuam.
