A man is due in court this morning in connection with the murder of a man stabbed to death outside his home in Ballymun, Dublin on Thursday.

Gardaí have charged a 21-year-old male in connection with the incident in which Jason “Jasper” Flannery, of Cairn Court, was killed.

Gardaí believe the father of three, who was in his late 30s, was having a party at his home to mark the Junior Cert results of his daughter when local men arrived just before 4am after leaving another party. A fight then developed inside the house, which spilled out on to the street.

Gardaí found Mr Flannery’s body on the street at St Joseph’s Way, not far from his home.
