A 41-year-old English man has appeared before Dublin District Court in connection with an axe attack on a German national in the city at the weekend.
Anthony Black, who has been sleeping rough in Bowbridge Place in Kilmainham, was arrested yesterday and detained under section four of the Criminal Justice Act at Kilmainham Garda Station.
He was this morning remanded in custody and will appear before Cloverhill Court next Wednesday.
