A man aged in his 40s has been arrested in connection with the seizure herbal cannabis and stun guns in Co Monaghan.
The man was arrested following an operation by officers from Revenue's Customs Service and members of the gardaí uncovered 1.7kg of herbal cannabis worth €400,000 in Carrickmacross.
Seven stun guns were also seized during the operation.
Investigations are ongoing with a view to prosecution.
