A 33-year-old man has been arrested after gardaí in Monaghan seized herbal cannabis with a potential street value of €500,000.
The arrest was made on Saturday evening when gardaí stopped and searched a truck at Lismeenan, Castleshane in the county.
The man is currently being held at Monaghan Garda station under Section 2 of the Drug Trafficking Act.
The seizure was made as part of a planned ongoing operation into the sale and supply of drugs in the county.
