Gardaí have arrested a man in connection with the death of Shane O'Connor earlier this week in Coolock, Dublin.
Mr O'Connor (22), who was known to gardaí and had previously been investigated for assaults on his girlfriend, was found lying injured outside his family home on St Donagh's Road, Donaghmede, on Monday. He was removed to Beaumont Hospital with stab wounds and died a short time later.
The arrested man, who is in his mid-20s, is currently detained at Coolock Garda station under section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984, a Garda spokesman said.
