Gardaí have arrested a man in connection with a fatal stabbing in Limerick last month.

Gardaí have arrested a man in connection with a fatal stabbing in Limerick last month.

Darren Bennett (18) died after he was stabbed during an altercation outside a house in Creavel Park, Moyross, on March 18th, 2009.

The 25-year-old man was arrested in Ennis, Co Clare shortly after 8.30am and is being detained at Mayorstone Garda station under Section 30 of the Offences against the State Act.

Mr Bennett, who had turned 18 the month before he died, had been at a party in the house in Craevel Park when trouble broke out.

After he was killed, armed gardaí were brought into the area to keep the peace.
