A Dublin man arrested yesterday for the attempted murder of a former girlfriend in London has appeared in Dublin District Court. Mr Alan Kelly (25), of Rossfield Drive, Tallaght, is accused of attempting to murder Ms Tracey Hand, at Tower Hamlets Road, London, on August 28th, 1995.
Det Sgt Kevin Heffernan said he arrested Mr Kelly at 7.20 a.m. on foot of six extradition warrants from the London Metropolitan Police.
Mr Kelly is also accused of grievous bodily harm, arson and three counts of theft on the same date. Judge Murrough Connellan assigned free legal aid and remanded him in custody until Friday.
