An Englishman has been convicted by a jury at the Central Criminal Court on 12 charges of raping and indecently assaulting a Co Louth girl over a period of years.
George Kerr (53), a native of Liverpool, with an address at Callystown, Clogherhead, Co Louth, was found guilty by unanimous verdict of 12 charges between 1989 to 1997 of indecent and sexual assault, three of forced oral sex, and four of rape of the girl when she was under 17 but over 15.
The victim's family requested the media to name Kerr, who was remanded in custody by Mr Justice Smith for sentence on February 4th.
