A man has been jailed for four years by Judge Yvonne Murphy at Dublin Circuit Criminal Court for having cannabis valued at £197,000.

Timothy Burke Gaffney (34), an Englishman, was coerced by a Spanish-based Dublin criminal to return to Dublin Airport and reclaim the drugs he had abandoned days before and was arrested looking for the case last November 13th. Burke Gaffney has been in protective custody since then. He pleaded guilty. Judge Murphy said she fully accepted the threats made to him and his girlfriend and the violence used on him showed force was a very definite reality.
