Man for court over Belfast pub shooting

A man (45) is due in court today charged in connection with a shooting at a pub in north Belfast at the weekend.

A man (45) is due in court today charged in connection with a shooting at a pub in north Belfast at the weekend.

A number of shots were fired inside the pub on Gray's Lane on Saturday afternoon.

There were no injuries reported.

It is understood the man was ejected from the bar and returned a short time later with a shotgun.

He was arrested a short time later. He is expected to face charges of attempted murder and possession of a weapon with intent to endanger life when he appears at Laganside Magistrate's Court later today.
