A 34-year-old man is due to appear at Belfast Magistrate’s Court tomorrow in connection with a large drugs seizure last night.

The man faces two charges, one of possession and another of possession with intent to supply after drugs with an estimated street value of Stg£52,000 were found.

The find came after two vehicles were stopped and searched on the Mallusk Road in the Glengormley area of Belfast last night.

RUC officers found four kilogrammes of cannabis resin and a small amount of cocaine in one of the cars. In a follow-up house search almost one kilogramme of amphetamines was found.

Two men were arrested at the scene, one of whom was released today without charge.
