Man due in court over 2004 Limerick murder

A man (38) is to appear in court in Limerick today in connection with the murder of a father of four.

A man (38) is to appear in court in Limerick today in connection with the murder of a father of four.

Martin O'Donoghue (35) was stabbed to death in a row outside a pub on Broad Street in the city on August 9th last year.

Gardaí recovered a bloody kitchen knife near the scene.

The accused is to appear in court at Limerick District Court at 10.30am.

Mr O'Donoghue, from St Mary's Park in Limerick, was a cousin of murdered nightclub security man Brian Fitzgerald, who was shot dead outside his home in 2002.
