A man in his seventies died in a crash in Co Cork yesterday evening.
The local man died when his car hit another on the N8 Rathcormac-to-Watercresshill road at 6.40 p.m.
The driver of the second car was taken to Cork University Hospital but his injuries are not thought to be life threatening. Gardaí in Fermoy are appealing for witnesses.
So far this year, 207 people have died on the State's roads.
