Man dies in Louth crash

A man in his 30s has died after the car he was driving left the road and crashed into a ditch.

A man in his 30s has died after the car he was driving left the road and crashed into a ditch.

The incident happened shortly before 2.45am at Philipstown, Hackballscross in Co Louth.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene and was the sole occupant of the vehicle.

The road has been closed pending a technical examination and anyone who witnessed the collision is asked to contact Dundalk Garda station on 042-9388400.
