Gardaí in Dublin have begun an investigation after a man was shot dead in the city earlier this evening.
The man, who was in his 50s, was shot on Bargy Road, East Wall, around 7.15pm. He was taken to the Mater Hospital in Dublin, where he was later pronounced dead.
Gardaí at Store Street are investigating.
